He inspired the Bible and He wants to inspire us as individuals. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Before I was saved I was not inspired by God or the Bible and did not want to be. Since I have been saved I long for His inspiration and need it. Do God and His Word inspire you? Do they profit you, correct you and instruct you? Do they cause you to grow in the knowledge of God? Have you personally tasted that the Lord is gracious? 1 Peter 2:2: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.Does the Bible help you to do right instead of sinning? Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Has the Bible given you wisdom that old men and great men do not have, more wisdom and understanding than you had before or got anywhere else? Job 32:7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom. 8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. 9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.Is the Bible in your heart and does it keep your steps from sliding and protect you? Psalms 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. 31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. 32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. 33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
Is the Bible accomplishing God*s will in your life? Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.Do you study the Bible and are you rightly dividing it or are you destined for shame? 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Are you living by the Bible and because of it? Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.Has the Bible set you apart for God? John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. |
